Sparkling fruit and animal 3D art glass cafe opens in Tokyo

Creative glass and mug maker Goodglas Japan has found great success with their 3D-Art glassware line, which uses hand-blown double walls of glass to create bubbles. cat and Shiba inu eyeglasses. The transparent yet rounded nature of each glass allows you to “fill” your drinking mate with the color of your drink, providing you with a drink sculpture of the animal of your choice. One of their more recent versions included the adorable shiba inu wearing scarf glasses below.

While Goodglas Animal Beverage Drinks are available for order online and at a number of retail stores in Japan, glass designers have now teamed up with Ginza Loft to open their very first cafe where you can sit and order a variety of animal and fruit themed drinks served in their classic bubble glasses. .

Just opened on December 15th, the new Goodglas Cafe offers a full menu of winter drinks. Customers can order from the store’s animal series, which includes a dog (Ginger Chai), a cat (fresh grapefruit juice), a bear (hot chocolate) and a duck (fresh orange juice), as well as glasses of grapes in the shape of fruit (mulled wine), strawberry (strawberry smoothie) and pineapple (pineapple smoothie).

Each drink is priced at 600 yen (plus tax), but the glasses can be purchased and taken home for 3,200 yen. Hopefully the popularity of bubble glasses will see new animals and fruits introduced as the seasons go by. Access information is available below.
